    Whether you are an alum, parent, or friend, Homecoming & Family Weekend brings everyone together for a weekend filled with fun and DeSales University spirit.

    Online registration for Homecoming and Family Weekend is closed. You may purchase tickets to the Welcome Brunch for Parents & Families and the Alumni & Family Reception at the door. Cash and credit card will be accepted.

    Act 1 Presents: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

    7:30 p.m. | Main Stage

    • Sonia and Vanya are two middle-aged siblings with no direction in life. After spending years taking care of their now deceased parents, neither have jobs and both spend their days watching the yard in Bucks County, PA, and ruminating on how many trees make up an orchard. Upheaval occurs when their sister Masha, on whom they depend for money, arrives with a new boyfriend. Add a cleaning lady soothsayer and the characters each become memorable in their own way. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award and New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, The New York Times wrote "Broad comic acting is raised to the level of high art...deliriously funny...a heedless good time." Ages 13+

    • The Office of Alumni Relations invites students and their families to join university leaders and connect with fellow families for brunch in the DeSales University Center to kick-off Homecoming & Family Weekend Saturday morning.

    Annual Chemistry Demonstration - SOLD OUT

    12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Hurd Auditorium, Priscilla Payne Hurd Science Center

    • Join fellow Chemistry alumni, parents, and students as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Chemistry Demonstrations. The demonstrations are a treat for all senses and include over a dozen highly visual and entertaining experiments.
    • The colorful and explosive presentations are designed to be visually interesting and exciting, as well as illustrating using easily understood chemical concepts. These demonstrations are presented by DeSales science students, faculty, and staff. 

    Fun Zone, Tailgating, and Food Trucks

    12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Outside the DeSales University Center

    • Fun Zone
      • All family and friends are invited to join us for our annual Fun Zone featuring pumpkin decorating, inflatables, cotton candy, and more. Free Future Bulldog T-shirts will be available first come, first served.
    • Food Trucks
      • Specialty food items will be available for purchase from multiple Lehigh Valley food trucks that will be parked in the DUC parking lot until 5 p.m. Alumni, family, and friends can grab a bite or satisfy their sweet tooth!
    • Tailgating - SOLD OUT
      • Reconnect with fellow alumni and families in the designated tailgating area in the DeSales University Center parking lot. Registration online is required to reserve your parking spot as spaces are limited. The tailgating lot is BYOB, but glass bottles and kegs are not permitted. Please make sure to bring your ID. If you are not planning to park in the DeSales University Center, registration is not necessary. All those 21 & older are welcome. The event is rain or shine.
      • *Reunion Classes* All milestone reunion classes, those ending in 0’s and 5’s, are encouraged to celebrate their reunion with fellow classmates this year. Reserved tailgating spaces are available so reunion classes can set up together. To reserve a special reunion tailgating area please contact Melissa Ciment, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, at melissa.ciment@desales.edu.

    Student Affairs Leadership Soirée

    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. | O'Connor Commons in the University Center

    • All alumni who were part of a student organization during their time on campus including, but not limited to, Character U, Student Government, Student Night Life/Campus Activities Board, the Center for Faith & Justice, Campus Ministry, and Career Ambassadors are invited to join us for our annual Student Affairs Leadership Soiree. This year, we are excited to honor and celebrate five inductees for our newly formed Student Life Wall of Fame.

    • Join us in Dooling Hall for the blessing and dedication of the Fr. Doug Burns, OSFS Sport and Exercise Physiology Lab. The lab will be named after Fr. Doug Burns, OSFS for his many years of service and expertise enhancing the lives of his students and alumni.

    Alumni & Family Reception and Fireworks

    6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | DeSales University Center

    • Join us at the DeSales University Center for our annual Alumni and Family Reception. Our annual fireworks show will light up the DeSales University sky beginning at 7:30 p.m. Live entertainment, food buffets, and bars will be open until 8:30 p.m. as we reconnect and celebrate together.
    • *Reunion Classes* All milestone reunion classes, those ending in 0’s and 5’s, are encouraged to celebrate their reunion with fellow classmates this year. The O’Connors Commons, inside the DeSales University Center, will be reserved for dinner with all fellow milestone reunion classes. Class flags will be available for great photo opportunities!
    • Tickets are $20 and include a buffet dinner.
    • Cash bar is available.
